what is the difference between a home inspection and a four point inspection?

A general home inspection entails a thorough and comprehensive analysis of the complete property. A four point inspection covers the four main components of the home: roof, plumbing, electrical and HVAC.

**Buyers of a new home typically purchase a home inspection, while home owners will purchase a four point inspection to detail any issues in their existing home.**

How long does a home inspection take?

A home inspection for a home that is 1500 sq. ft. and under typically takes approximately 2 hours. The more square feet a home has, the longer a home inspection can take. If there are add-on services the inspection can take more time.
